If you are in the market looking for a reliable and accurate oxygen monitor, then we have a great recommendation for you! In this video, we review our favorite oxygen monitor. The Wellue O2 ring is one of the best pulse oximeters we have come across. It offers so many features that a standard clip on oximeter can offer. For example, the ring has a vibration alarm sensor that can alert you when your blood oxygen saturation levels are too low, or when you heart rate is abnormal. For more information on this cool product, check out the product reviews and descriptions on the Wellue website or on Amazon reviews. Good luck finding the best oxygen monitor for you!

  1. Is this device a one time purchase or is there a monthly fee? If so, what is the approximate cost of the monthly fee? Thank you.

  2. The Ring is indeed valuable.
    Regular Finger-Type clip-on
versions are good for a few minutes and that’s it.
Not cheap — gave my ring to
my mother, now I need to buy
    it again for myself 😢

  3. I’ve had one for 3 months and find it to be consistently accurate when compared to a finger tip clip on pulse ox. Quality control and service are lacking- the first one was DOA and this one stopped linking with Bluetooth 3 days ago. Their rep said "Send me a video" for a DOA product??? When studying before purchasing, I saw several complaints abut the battery dying in one year.

  4. I had to order one today I have to wear it 24/7 due to having Pulmonary arterial hypertension hopefully it works I tried everything else

  5. Would this work for my daughter who has had a few seizures during sleep? She is on meds and she’s only had one seizure episode this year. She wants to start sleeping on her own as she is turning 10 soon 😅. Will it send notification to my phone if her breathing goes up or down from normal range? TIA ❤️

  6. Can someone answer whether Bluetooth can be disabled while u sleep with it on and then in the morning can u connect to Bluetooth and will tge night’s data transmit to the app? Part of sleeping difficulties is sensitivity to EMF’s and RF’s that we certain,y don’t need transmitting on our body ever esp during sleep. So I’d like to buy this but u less it has that capability it’s a no deal. Hopefully someone can tell me tge correct answer to this .

  7. ABSOLUTELY NO NO NO DOES IT EVEN COME CLOSE TO REPLACING A CPAP MACHINE.

If you’re constantly being woken up because of the ring ( Then you’re not getting any deep sleep any recovery uninterrupted sleep. ) As a doctor you should know if you can’t get to that type of sleep and a ring wakes you up. You’re not really getting any good sleep and this puts a lot of pressure on your heart during the day.

So absolutely there’s no point in no replacement for a sleep apnea machine.

What this product really does AS LONG AS IT MEASURES YOUR OXYGEN EVERY ONE OR TWO SECONDS ALL NIGHT LONG IT WILL TELL YOU IF YOU NEED A SLEEP APNEA MACHINE based on how many times your oxygen drops..

  8. Thanks for your review. During your testing what was your reference point to compare the Wellue to ? I mean how did you compare it to the Gold standard during your testing ?

  9. How do we know how to set the ring for thresholds? I am mostly worried about my oxygen as i have sleep apnea and no c-pap machine for the last 9 months because it was recalled. My sleep doctor quit and no new one yet.

  10. I dunno. I owned one of these and I found that wearing the ring as shown in this video leads to insufficient perfusion readings and I don’t have fat fingers by any means. I’m a bony SOB 😅 The best perfusion readings I got were (you guessed it) at the ends of my fingers. Might as well stick with a clip-on pulseox. Hospitals take their readings from there or behind the ear for a good reason. Don’t mess with tried and true medical science for being "fashionable".

  11. Which one do you think is better, this O2 ring or the wellue sleepU wrist oxigen monitor?

    Wrist Oxygen Monitor

  12. As doctors, does it concern you that the Wellue CheckMeO2 is FDA cleared whereas the O2Ring is not. I.e. the CheckMe is a medical device that had was reviewed but the FDA (i.e. Wellue had to provide test reports in a 510k) but the O2Ring has not had any review. It is "listed", which means that it’s on a list of things they make but has had no review. The CheckMe saves more frequent data than the O2Ring but no idea if there’s any difference in their accuracy. (Many people use the O2Ring to monitor sleep apnea.)

  13. Q?- You mentioned the ring may be inaccurate with running due to motion. Will this be true on a stationary bike with hands on handlebars? Thanks

  14. Buy direct!!! Cheaper than amazon… now I need to deal w the return and repurchase!! Great review!! It’s been a necessity w/ COVID.

  15. I just got mine. When wearing it in bed but same and sitting up. It shows I drop to 85% I’ve changed fingers and same thing. I got up and took deep breaths and it still went off with 84-85%

  16. I’m developing a pc software for 6minWT and I need to read via bluetooth port HR and SpO2 in real time. It is possible with this device? In witch range Bluetooth 4.0 works? I need a good connection for about 20 meters of range.
Thanks for any information you provide me

  17. Have you reviewed or tried any of the more budget friendly Pulse Oximeters, like the ones from Amazon? I only really need it for pulse. I know, I’m lazy

  18. Question about the O2 ring. On the app, when the data is transferred, it gives an oxygen score and puts the number on a graph from green, yellon then red. It says if the number falls under yellow, contact your doctor. I have a new O2 ring and the sync to my phone is very intermittent. On my computer generated report, it gives the oxygen score number only. My question, at what number should I get in touch with my doctor?

  19. Thanks for watching! If you are interested in trying out an oxygen ring for yourself, don’t forget to use our special discount code "MikeandMatty" when you check out on the store (and per the kindness of tea397: You have to tap on “Order Summary” at the top, to unhide the “Discount Code” field. Thanks tea397! LINK: https://bit.ly/MMwelluering

  20. Is there any reason a "healthy" individual aka health nerd would need to buy an O2 tracker?! Like if it’s not a medical replacement, what value does it provide outside of medical uses?

Lastly curious how your O2 levels are impacted when you’re on a plane?

  21. I don’t think it’s ever going to be a substitute for a cpap machine. At best it gives you an additional data point you can use to help verify the effectiveness of your sleep therapy treatment because AHI alone can often be misleading. Great video! Keep them coming.

  22. Doctor recently had me wear one of these rings for an in-home sleep study and it made me realize how superior it is vs. my finger clamp style sp02 monitor which requires 2x AAA batteries (instead of being rechargeable via USB like the ring) ,the ring just slides on and stays put while the finger clamp monitor requires extra work to prevent it from falling off overnight and it feels heavy compared to the ring, the clamp monitor also burns through AAA batteries in 3 overnight sessions. the current $159 asking price from wellue’s site doesn’t seem to bad all things considered.

  23. I bought this ring. Waste of money as it is so unreliable. One night it works. Another it drops out and records only individual minutes. O2 percentages vary by 3-5 percentage points. If you are used to a typical fingertip pulse ox device – this will show a lower and more variable value. Unless you can secure it around a thumbnail or fingernail. Easily scratched surface means it is unreturnable. Material is cheap and flimsy. But the cost isn’t cheap.

  24. Doctors, when reading oxy saturation levels when the vibration alarm goes off, what position should my hand be in?Do I need to elevate my hand?
